"We're a bit of an awkward family"

This is what Megan warned when she booked her family photoshoot. Well she wasn't wrong ;P but we got there in the end, and we had a heap of fun in the process!

Its easy to feel awkward in front of the camera. All eyes are on you. Suddenly you are aware of every little thing. Do your clothes look ok? How should you smile? Why are you so suddenly aware of your hands?! And what do you do with them!?

The thing is, almost everybody feels nervous before a photoshoot. The Johnson family had never had a proper family photos done before, because they were always worried about how the photos would turn out due to their nerves. But as their girls got older they wanted some nice photos to put on the wall, so they decided what the hell lets give it a shot.

The first thing I do when I take your photos, is try to make it fun. When your comfortable and enjoying yourself, the nerves fall away. You stop thinking and worrying about everything and just enjoy yourself, and that shows in the photos. This is exactly what I did for the Johnson family. We had a great time and a lot of laughs, and before we knew it we had everything we needed and more!

The Johnson family was so stoked to finally have some nice photos to put on the wall, they are now planing on getting family portraits done every year! Take a look below to see the self proclaimed worlds most "awkward family" ;)
